BOCA RATON, Fla. – Graduate DB Bo-Simpson Nealy has helped transform Florida Atlantic football's secondary.
In six games, the Owls have already doubled their interception total from the previous season with six. Simpson-Nealy leads the team with two, occurring in consecutive weeks. Brought in for his tackling ability, he has lived up to that expectation with 25, the most among Owl defensive backs.
Beginning his collegiate career at Western Carolina, Simpson-Nealy played with a chip on his shoulder after being an unheralded recruit out of high school. After 100 tackles in three years, he made the move to FBS.
Simpson-Nealy sat down with Frank Forte to discuss his football career and current season with Florida Atlantic.
The feature is included in "Inside the Owls' Burrow" the team's weekly show airing each Thursday throughout the season on the Spot. The Spot, South Florida 39 (WSFL-TV), will air the show weekly on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. ET in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale DMA with replays running to be determined. The Spot, South Florida 9 (WHDT-TV), will air the show on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET in the West Palm Beach-Fort Pierce DMA with replays to be determined.
