BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic football welcomes rival FIU Saturday night to Howard Schnellenberger Field at Flagler Credit Union Stadium at 6 p.m. and fans are encouraged to donate unopened cereal boxes for the Owls' fifth annual Tackle Hunger Game.
FAU Athletics is teaming up with Boca Helping Hands to commemorate September's Hunger Action Month with the annual cereal drive. Every box of cereal donated that day gets the donor one free ticket to a future FAU home game. In addition, a portion of every ticket sold through this link will benefit Boca Helping Hands: https://www.gofevo.com/event/Bocahelping2.
The donation booth will be located in Publix Paradise Plaza, outside Gates 1 and 2, which opens at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday and also includes a free concert from the Caribbean Chillers (a Jimmy Buffett tribute band), food trucks, inflatables, games and other activations.
Robes Law Group is the game's presenting partner and serves as the Owls' year-long sponsor for the Robes Law Tackle Hunger, Tackle for a Loss campaign. For each Owls' tackle for loss (TFL) this season, Robes Law will donate $26 to Boca Helping Hands.
Florida Atlantic is 1-1 this season and is coming off a 38-30 win over Navy last Saturday at Flagler Credit Union Stadium.
