Florida Atlantic Athletics Takeover: Dick’s Sporting Goods

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Ahead of the 24th edition of the Shula Bowl, Florida Atlantic Athletics will host a "Takeover" event in the Dick's Sporting Goods' 20429 South State Road 7 Boca Raton location on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The free-to-attend event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Fans can check out new Florida Atlantic gear in-store and take part in interactive games while also enjoying giveaways, a bracelet bar, a DJ, and special appearances by beloved mascot Owlsley as well as the cheer team.
The Owls' football team is coming off a 38-30 victory in their American Conference opener against RV Navy on Howard Schnellenberger Field at Flagler Credit Union Stadium. The attendance of 22,273 is Florida Atlantic's highest for a home opener since 2019, with an enhanced gameday experience headlined by the Owls Pregame Live concert series in Publix Paradise Plaza.
Shula Bowl XXIV between Florida Atlantic and FIU will be hosted in Paradise on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. The evening will also mark Educators' Appreciation Day.
