BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic football's fifth-year WR Easton Messer continues to receive recognition from the American Conference, announced on Monday as a weekly Honorable Mention following his record-setting performance at North Texas.
This marks his third accolade from the American since the start of the season, also receiving Special Teams Player of the Week and most recently Offensive Player of the Week.
Messer hauled in every target that went his way, 16 of them, to set an FAU single-game program record and tying the most by an FBS receiver in 2026. He recorded 189 yards, fourth most by an Owl and caught three touchdown passes, tying the most by a Florida Atlantic receiver.
In the past three games alone, the Biletnikoff Award nominee has logged 42 passes for 453 yards, scoring nine total touchdowns between receiving, rushing, and punt returning. He currently leads the FBS in receptions (74) and is ranked No. 5 in both receiving touchdowns (10) and yards (898).
As a team, Florida Atlantic has been in the weekly American awards eight times since the start of the '26 campaign.
The Owls are back home on Howard Schnellenberger Field at Flagler Credit Union Stadium to face UTSA with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff set to air on ESPN. To purchase tickets, click HERE, while students can claim free tickets HERE.
