Came to Florida Atlantic as an Assistant Academic Advisor in January of 2024 following her graduation
Worked with a caseload of student-athletes, specifically football and women’s basketball, to develop academic skills, monitor progress in courses, and offer guidance on study skills and time management techniques
Big contributor to the planning of the annual Owlspys award show, Summer Bridge, and an orientation class for incoming freshmen while helping the Director of Student-Athlete Development in curating initiatives for student-athletes
Overseer of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC)

At Illinois State

Joined the Illinois State University athletic department as an intern in November of 2021, serving directly under the department’s Chief Operating Officer/Senior Women’s Administrator
Entrusted to create the competitive calendar for the athletic department while updating and modified Title IX documents as new legislation came out and distributed the information for administration to review and approve
Join the athletic departments Weisbecker Athletic Fund Team in June of 2023. Developed relationships with Illinois State Athletic donors and sought out ways to best serve them while organizing events to create a positive donor experience and raise money for the Illinois State Athletics Scholarship Fund.
Tasked with finding innovative ways to build connections between donors and student-athletes

Volunteer Experience

Volunteered at the Midwest Food Bank from January 2021 to December 2023, helping coordinated teams of volunteers to assist the organization in their distribution and packaging needs to assisting with the process of moving food products to the correct locations within the warehouse
Salesperson at Taste of Redbirds, Illinois State University in February of 2020 interacting with notable alumni of Illinois State University, encouraging the purchase of tickets in support of Illinois State athletics and manage ticket sales that supported the university as well as its athletic department
From February 2020 to December 2023, was a volunteer fundraiser for Play 4 Kay – Kay Yow Cancer Fund helping oversee auctions that helped raise money for scientific research to assist the efforts to fight against women’s cancers while recruiting student-athletes to participate in on-court recognition to pay tribute to those affected by cancer

Organizational Involvement and Leadership Experience

Division I student-athlete participating on the Women’s Soccer Team (Jan. 2020 – Dec. 2023) and serving as the SAAC President (June 2022 – June 2023)
Illinois State University’s female representative with the Missouri Valley Conference (Aug. 2021 – May 2022) collaborating with conference leaders and current collegiate student-athletes of various schools to propose and vote on new legislation and amendments while discussing active programs in institutions and navigated how to implement ideas in personal institutions
A member of Redbirds 4 Change (Aug. 2021 – Dec. 2023) where student-athletes led groups to create a unified and inclusive environment for the Redbird community while understanding the importance of committing to proactive action, social change, and equality for all marginalized populations and worked alongside Illinois State University’s Assistant Athletics Director to develop student-athlete welfare programming for current and future Redbirds

Personal
Education: Earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University in Business Administration and Management in December of 2023. Is currently furthering her education with a Master of Business Administration in Sport Management from Florida Atlantic with an expected graduation date of December 2025.
Honors: Missouri Valley Conference State Farm Good Neighbor Award Recipient, Heidecke Award Recipient, Illinois State, Robert G. Bone Scholarship Recipient, the highest award given to an undergraduate student, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Illinois State
