BOCA RATON, Fla. – Head Coach
LeAnn Freeland and the Florida Atlantic women's basketball team have announced their non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
The Owls will compete in 12 non-conference contests, with seven games on Abessinio Court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. Among those are a pair of tournaments, the Owls' Thanksgiving Classic and Holiday Classic.
Florida Atlantic will tip off the 2026-27 season on the road as they visit the Miami Hurricanes on Tuesday, Nov. 2, marking the 22nd all-time meeting between the Owls and the Canes.
The Owls open up their 2026-27 home slate with a two-game homestand beginning with Kennesaw State on Saturday, Nov. 7. Florida Atlantic's home opener will mark the ninth all-time meeting between FAU and KSU.
Florida Atlantic closes out its home-opening homestand with a midweek matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 11, welcoming South Alabama for their 18th all-time meeting.
The Owls then head back on the road for a two-game road stretch. FAU will head to Fort Myers, Florida on Saturday, Nov. 14 to take on FGCU for the Owls and Eagles' fourth meeting, before closing out the road trip on Thursday, Nov. 19 in Gainesville, Florida, facing off against Florida for the 11th time ever.
Florida Atlantic will host its Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 27-28. The Owls open the tournament on Nov. 27 against Western Kentucky, before closing out play against Buffalo on Nov. 28. The tournament contests will mark the 30th all-time meeting between the Owls and the Hilltoppers and the second meeting between FAU and Buffalo.
The Owls will head back on the road to open the month of December, visiting rival FIU on Saturday, Dec. 5 for the 59th all-time meeting between the Owls and the Panthers.
FAU returns to Paradise on Tuesday, Dec. 8, as the Owls welcome Stony Brook for their Education Day game and first meeting against the Sea Wolves.
Florida Atlantic will conclude its non-conference road slate on Tuesday, Dec. 15, as the Owls travel to Orlando, Florida to take on UCF. The meeting marks the 32nd all-time between the Owls and the Knights.
The Owls will wrap up non-conference play at home, hosting their Holiday Classic on Dec. 19-20. FAU will open the weekend on Saturday, Dec. 19 against North Florida, before facing off against Kent State in their non-conference finale on Sunday, Dec. 20. The tournament matchups will mark the 12th meeting between the Owls and the Ospreys and the third between FAU and Kent State.
Florida Atlantic's American Conference schedule will be announced later in September, completing the full 2026-27 schedule. Fans can purchase season tickets for the upcoming season here.
