Volleyball Returns Home With Matches Against Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky
Cintia Nightingale is 29 digs away from becoming the school's all-time leader in that category.

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic volleyball team will return home from a four-match road swing with two matches this weekend. FAU (6-15, 1-9 Sun Belt) had a difficult weekend, losing matches to both ULM and North Texas in four sets.

On Friday night, the Owls will face Middle Tennessee (7-20, 4-6) in a match that starts at 6:30 p.m. The Blue Raiders beat the Owls in four sets earlier this season in Murfreesboro despite 15 kills from Alessia Pizzoccheri.

Alessia Pizzoccheri had 15 kills on Friday night, but it was not enough as the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to Middle Tennessee in four sets (25-21, 25-19, 17-25, 22-25).

Volleyball Falls to #20 Western Kentucky
The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to #20 Western Kentucky in straight sets (25-17, 25-12, 25-15) on Saturday. The loss puts the Owls at 6-13 on the year and 1-6 in conference play, while the Hilltoppers go to 22-3 and 8-0 in the Sun Belt.

No. #19 Western Kentucky (24-3, 10-0) will be FAU's opponent on Saturday. The Hilltoppers swept the Owls in their first meeting this year. Saturday's match starts at 1 p.m.

Fans in attendance may also have a chance to witness history as senior libero Cintia Nightingale enters the weekend just 29 digs shy of becoming the school's all-time leader in that category. Nightingale is also on pace to become the first player in school history to lead the team in digs for four straight seasons.
