BOCA RATON, FL - Members of the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team were recently honored with a lunch held at the Eleanor Baldwin House, home of the FAU President. Interim FAU President Dennis Crudele hosted the luncheon.

The meal was a reward for the team earning the highest team grade point average among FAU's 19 teams during the spring semester. The volleyball team posted a team GPA of 3.287 during the spring term, with 14 players earning a GPA of 3.0 or better. After lunch, the team posed for pictures with President Crudele and took a tour of the house.

The Owls have opened their preseason practice season and will officially kick off the 2013 campaign by hosting the FAU Invitational on August 30-31, with Bethune-Cookman, Southeastern Lousiana and Jacksonville rounding out the field. For tickets, call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
