BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to South Alabama in straight sets (25-21, 25-21, 25-20) on Friday.

The Owls (3-20, 0-11 Sun Belt) committed 17 attack errors and nine service errors in the loss. Junior outside hitter Georgia Robinson led the FAU offense with nine kills. Junior libero Cintia Nightingale paced the defense with 10 kills, while Thacilli Pereira added five blocks.

USA's (8-14, 3-7) Maureen Ros was the only player in the match to reach double digit kills with 10. Three other Jaguars had seven kills each.

FAU hosts Troy at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the FAU Arena.
