BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to Tulsa in straight sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-16) on Friday night.
Katarina Stepanovic had seven kills and five blocks while senior Darija Sataric hit .571 on the night. FAU shuttled players throughout the match, and as a result didn't have anyone reach double-digit kills or digs.
Tulsa (15-4, 4-0 C-USA) had a 21-13 lead in the first set that FAU (9-10, 1-4) was able to whittle down to four at 24-20, but a Golden Hurricane kill ended any hope of completing the rally. Sets two and three both began with Tulsa getting out to a big lead and the Owls being unable to make up ground.
The Owls continue conference play on Sunday, Oct. 13 when they host UAB. The match is FAU's annual "Dig Pink" match to raise awareness for breast cancer and will start at noon. Live stats and live video of the match will be available at fausports.com.
