BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic volleyball team lost a pair of dual matches, losing to Florida State 5-0 and losing to Stetson 4-1 on Friday.
The Owls were swept by Florida State in their first match of the day. Joanne Marras Tate and Alessia Pizzocheri were competitive on the no. 1 court, as were Grace Vega and Darija Sataric at no. 2, but neither tandem could come away with the victory.
Marras Tate and Pizzocheri won their match at no. 1 versus Stetson in three sets and Chandler Hatton and Lauren Jones dropped a pair of close sets in their match at no. 4. On the no. 5 court, Cintia Nightingale and Thacilli Pereira were very competitive in their match, but came up short.
The Owls will travel to play Florida Gulf Coast at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
