Women's Tennis Recruiting Class Earns Honorable Mention Status among Mid-Major Colleges

June 16, 2011

Boca Raton, Fla. - Adding two local high school standouts has earned the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis program honorable mention status among mid-major NCAA Division I colleges by TennisRecruiting.net. The Owls are one of two Sun Belt Conference teams to be featured on this year's list.

The 2011-12 recruiting class, developed by Head Coach Marcy Hora-Cava, features Catalina Ene of Boca Raton and Natalia Tomascewicz of Coral Springs. Both players earned top-25 state rankings during their prep careers.

"I am very proud of their high school performances and have high expectations for them as college players," said Hora-Cava. "They are both hardworking ladies. That work ethic will help them as they make the transition to the college game."

FAU is coming off its first winning season since 2004 with a 13-12 record during the 2010-11 season. The Owls are set to return all but one player from last year's team.
