Boltinskaya Wins Flight, Leads Owls at FIU Invite

MIAMI, Fla. – Natalia Boltinskaya won the No. 1 singles flight to lead the Florida Atlantic University women’s tennis team at the FIU Invitational, while the Owls earned six singles wins and a doubles victory at the tournament.

  • In No. 3 singles, senior Marisa Ruiz won 6-2, 6-3 in her opener before falling 6-0, 6-4 to the eventual champion
  • Fellow senior Jennifer Leib battled back for a 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 win in her opening match before a 6-3, 6-1 loss in the semifinals
  • Ruiz and Leib teamed up to win the lone doubles match for the Owls 6-2
