Coral Gables, FL - Senior Alena Dvorakova was the only Florida Atlantic University women's tennis player to pick up a win Saturday on the second day of the University of Miami Fall Classic. The tournament is being played in the hidden dual format, where no team score is allotted and wins only count for individual records.
Dvorakova, winner of last weekend's C.L. Varner Invitational in Winter Park, defeated Nikkita Fountain of Florida International 6-3, 6-3 in morning singles play and also won her afternoon singles match, 6-0, 6-2. Earlier in the day, the Czech native teamed with Krystel Borg in doubles and lost 8-2 to Melissa Applebaum and Caren Seenauth of Miami.
Borg, along with Katherine Bartnik and Pia Terol, lost their morning and afternoon singles matches. Bartnik and Terol lost their doubles match 8-4 to Emily Mowery and Staci Stevens of Miami. Tournament play concludes Sunday.
