BOCA RATON, FL - Stephanie Beaulieu won her match at no. 5, as Florida Atlantic University brushed aside Florida Gulf Coast University, 7-0, Sunday afternoon in Boca Raton, FL. Beaulieu, a senior from Spring Hill, FL, won her match, 6-1, 6-2. The win improves the Lady Owls to 15-4 on the year, and concludes the home-match portion of their schedule. FAU went 13-1 at home.

FAU started the day by taking the doubles point. Krystel Borg combined with Tania Rivera to win, 8-1, at no. 2. Katherine Bartnik and Veronika Koksova also attained victory at no. 3, 8-0.

In singles, Bartnik was the first to grab victory at no. 6. The freshman defeated Lori Colby, 6-1, 6-0.

Koksova followed Bartnik by winning at no. 3. Koksova was up one set when her opponent retired midway through the second set.

That's when Borg finalized the outcome at no. 4. Borg toppled Angie Mykieta, 6-1, 6-0, giving the Owls a 4-0 cushion.

Beaulieu won next with Alena Dvorakova and Karolina Roubickova following at nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Roubickova's win was her eighth consecutive. Dvorakoa's victory was her 17th consecutive.

FAU will have one final tune up before the Atlantic Sun conference tournament. The Lady Owls take on Florida International University, 11:00 am April 11, in Miami, FL.
