BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women’s tennis team won its sixth-consecutive match with a 6-1 victory over Towson on Wednesday at the FAU Tennis Complex.

Laura Fabrizi and Ana Gutierrez started the match with a bang, winning their doubles point 6-0 to improve to 12-5 on the year
Heather Walton and Alisa Rudenko followed with a 6-4 win to clinch the doubles point for FAU before Lyndsey Boos and Marisa Ruiz finished the sweep of doubles with their 6-4 victory
• Gutierrez continued her hot streak, winning her sixth-straight singles match 6-2, 6-0 over Lucy Williams
• Boos improved to 8-0 in No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 7-6 win against A.J. Gomer
• Ruiz clinched the match for FAU with her 6-3, 6-0 victory over Yevgeniya Shusterman in the No. 4 spot • Rudenko took care of business 6-0, 7-5 against Renate van Oorshodt in the No. 5s
• Fabrizi outlasted Nicole Shakhnazarova 6-2, 2-6, 11-9 as the No. 1 for her eighth win of the year
• Towson’s lone point came in the No. 6 slot as Lucy Gloninger topped Naiya Oden 6-4, 5-7, 10-5
