FAU Women's Tennis Defeats South Dakota 6-1

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women’s tennis defeated South Dakota on Sunday, 6-1. FAU looked dominant in their final match over spring break, moving the Owls to 5-6 on the season.

FAU senior Stephanie Cardullo and FAU freshman Bianca Biglione defeated Yamini Reddy and Milica Pavlovic 8-1. FAU Freshman Lyndsey Boos and FAU Junior Catalina Ene defeated Michelle Elkin and Dragana Brankovic 8-6.

FAU Freshman Kandis Legall continued her impressive run of victories at the No. 1 position and won her ninth consecutive match, defeating Rymma Maslova 6-2, 6-0. Legall is 9-2 on the season after losing her first two matches. FAU freshman Bianca Biglione, who won five consecutive matches before losing to Xavier’s Andrea Wolf, got back to her winning ways defeating Nina Barudzic 6-2, 6-3. FAU senior Stephanie Cardullo defeated Elaina Palovic 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 and FAU junior Catalina Ene defeated Dragana Brankovic 6-1, 6-4. FAU junior Natalia Tomaszewicz defeated Yamini Reddy 6-3, 6-3.

FAU is back in action Tuesday March 11, at 11 a.m. against Troy and Thursday March 13, at 1 p.m. against Hillsdale.
