Boca Raton, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team dropped its record to 6-5 on the spring after a 6-0 home loss to Michigan State University of the Big 10 Conference on Wednesday, March 6 at Patch Reef Park.

Junior Stephanie Cardullo lost a hard-fought No. 4 singles match. She won the opening set 6-2, but lost the remaining two sets by identical 6-2 scores.

At No. 2 singles, sophomore Catalina Ene lost to Michigan State's Catherine Parenteau 6-3, 6-3. Meanwhile, senior Natasha Phillips suffered her first loss of the season, falling in straight sets at No. 6 singles.

FAU returns to the court on Saturday, March 9 when it hosts Cleveland State University at 9 a.m. in matches taking place at Patch Reef Park.
