BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women’s tennis defeated Davidson on Saturday, 6-1. FAU looked very strong in their second consecutive win, moving the Owls to 3-5 on the season.

FAU won the doubles point for the second match in row with wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 position.  FAU Freshman Lyndsey Boos and FAU Junior Catalina Ene defeated Elise Held and Jenna Brunner 8-5. FAU senior Stephanie Cardullo and FAU freshman Bianca Biglione defeated Brites Moniz-Soares and Elaina Cummer 8-5 to win the doubles point for FAU.

FAU Freshman Kandis Legall continued her impressive run of victories at the No. 1 position and won her sixth consecutive match, defeating Brites Moniz-Soares 6-3, 6-3. Legall is 6-2 on the season and lost only one match in the month of February.  FAU freshman Bianca Biglione also on a win streak of three consecutive matches defeated Tamara Hill 6-1, 6-1. FAU senior Stephanie Cardullo clinched the match, defeating Elaina Cummer 6-1, 4-6, 10-2. FAU freshman Lyndsey Boos defeated Sarah Stein 6-4, 6-4 for her second consecutive victory. FAU junior Catalina Ene defeated Nisha Crouser 6-3, 4-6, 10-5.

FAU is back in action Tuesday March 4, at 11 a.m. against Wright State and Wednesday March 5, at 1 p.m. against Xavier.
