Boca Raton, FL - The Florida Atlantic University's winning streak has stretched to four matches following a 5-2 home triumph over Oakland University on Wednesday, February 20 at Patch Reef Park.

After losing the doubles point, the Owls quickly gained momentum in the six singles courts. Sophomore Natalia Tomaszewicz started the rally by dropping only two games in a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the No. 4 match.

The good times continued as sophomore Taylor Briggs scored a 6-2, 6-1 win over Oakland's Juliana Guevara at No. 5 singles. Then, senior Marlene Ryan and sophomore Catalina Ene earned three-set victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 matches, respectively. Ene won the deciding third set by a 6-3 score. Freshman Claire-Mitchell Andrews rounded out the winners with a 6-7, 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 6.

The team of junior Stephanie Cardullo and Ryan recorded an 8-4 win in the No. 2 doubles match.

FAU improves to 4-3 on the season and host Arkansas State University on Friday, February 22 at 2 p.m. from Patch Reef Park.
