Women's Tennis Falls to UCF in A-Sun Opener

Orlando, FL - Florida Atlantic University's women's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end as the Lady Owls fell to UCF 6-1 in its Atlantic Sun season opener. Alena Dvorakova won the lone point for Florida Atlantic, which now falls to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in A-Sun play.

The Golden Knights jumped out to an early lead by sweeping the doubles matches. Dvorakova evened the match at 1-1 with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Julie Pecastaing. But UCF proved too much, winning the remaining five matches.

FAU returns to action on Sunday, February 22 against Stetson University in DeLand, FL.
