Stetson Hands Owls 5-2 Home Loss

BOCA RATON - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Stetson on Sunday, the second conference loss for the Owls in as many days. Senior Alena Dvorakova won her third consecutive singles match at the No. 1 position, the only win on the singles side for the Owls, who fall to 1-3, 1-1 A-Sun with the loss.

FAU reached .500 on the year in doubles (6-6) with a sweep of the Hatters (5-2, 2-0). Dvorakova and Elodie Wendling improved to 3-1 on the year with a win at No. 1, while the teams of Veronika Koksova/Claudia Kecht and Krystel Borg/Katherine Bartnik also won.

The Owls will head out of state for the first time this season when they head to Texas this upcoming weekend for games against Southern Methodist and the University of Texas-Arlington.
