Florida Atlantic University notched its second win in as many days on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Owls beat the University of South Florida, 5-2, and improved to 2-1 on the season. Alena Dvorakova defeated Fabiana Taverna 6-0, 7-5 at the no. 1 position to lead FAU.

The Lady Owls began singles play already leading 1-0 after winning all three doubles matches. Along with Dvorakova's victory, Maria Aguirre-Gomez won at no. 2, while Tania Rivera and Krystel Borg also won their singles matches at no. 4 and 5 respectively.

The duo of Aguirre-Gomez and Rivera notched their third win of the year in doubles with an 8-6 victory over Luisa Obando and Fabiana Taverna. Dvorakova and Jessica Burrow also teamed for a for a doubles victory, as did Beaulieu and Roubickova.

FAU will next play at Miami, Friday January 31, at 4:00 pm.
