Phillips picks up straight-set victory at No. 6 singles
2011-12: Won first three singles matches of career, defeating ins-state foes Jacksonville (1/21), Savannah State (1/22)and Bethune-Cookman (1/28)...won eight singles matches...saw time at No. 4, 5 and 6 singles positions...won in straight sets to help lead team to a victory over Arkansas State in the Sun Belt Conference Championships...won three doubles matches.
High School: Team captain at Coral Glades High School...earned third-place honors at HOSA Competition...nominated for sportsmanship.
Personal: Daughter of Leopold and Barbara Tomaszewicz...biology major...her father represeted Poland in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase as a professional track and field athlete...aspires a career in sports medicine...younger sister Patrycia is a member of the women's tennis team.
