Nov. 5, 2009

The honors continue to pile up for the Florida Atlantic University swimming and diving teams, as Kyle Lloyd and Stephanie Goodman have been named the Sun Belt Conference's (SBC) "Male and Female Diver of the Week." This marks the fourth time this season that a FAU swimmer has been recognized for accomplishments in the pool.

Lloyd, a freshman, recorded his first collegiate victory by winning the one-meter diving competition against the University of Tampa on October 30 in a meet at Florida Gulf Coast University. His 228.45 score from the judges edged out teammate Garret LeMon for the top spot by 31 points. Lloyd also placed second in the three-meter diving event to help the men's team pick up its first dual meet victory of the season, 163.50-124.50.

Goodman, a senior from Fort Lauderdale, finished second in both the one- and three-meter diving events as the Owls split dual meets against Tampa and FGCU on October 30. She scored consistently in double dual meet, tallying 232.42 points from the judges in the three-meter competition and posting 222.37 points on the one-meter diving board. Goodman won her first dual match of the season against rival Florida International University on October 16.

The Owls will host an exhibition meet against Princeton University at the FAU Aquatic Center, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus, on Friday, November 6 at 2 p.m.
