Women's Swimming and Diving Drops Home Opener to FGCU

Owls tally eight event victories and 18 top-five efforts

Sophomore ('10-'11): Competed in nearly every meet's freestyle events, picking up eight top-5 finishes...in the final regular season meet, against Daytona Beach State, finished in third place in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyle...her time of 24.99 in the 50-yard freestyle was her season best...had two-runner up finishes, in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle, against Nova Southeastern...was one leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team in the meet against Florida Gulf Coast University.

Previous School: Started collegiate career at Washington State, recording lifetime best effort in the 50-yard freestyle (24.49 seconds) at the Texas Longhorn Invitational.

High School: Holds school record in 50-yard freestyle (25.07) ...swam for coach Dave Cleave.
