Kinlaw and Rice Drop Two at the USAV Collegiate Beach Championships

HERMOSA BEACH, Calif. - Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball players Jessalyn Kinlaw and Megan Rice lost their first two matches at the USA Volleyball (USAV) Collegiate Beach Championships on Thursday.  The two matches began the pool play portion of the tournament.

Rice and Kinlaw lost their first match of the day to Amy Neal and Jaelyn Greene of TCU. The Owls' duo won the first set 21-18, but lost the second set 21-16 and the third set 15-13 in a nailbiter. Sarah Sponcill and Savannah Slattery of Loyola Marymount were the opposition in the second match. LMU took a pair of close decisions 21-18 and 23-21 to sweep FAU.

Rice and Kinlaw will conclude on Friday against Anika Wilson and Deahna Kraft of Pepperdine at 11 a.m. eastern before finding if they will advance to the elimination portion of the tournament.
