BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will wrap up its regular season home schedule with a three-game series against UTEP. It will be the first three meetings between the two schools.

The Owls (27-21, 9-9 C-USA) split a doubleheader at Florida Gulf Coast before sweeping a doubleheader from Charlotte on Saturday. FAU was on the verge of sweeping the series before a walk off homerun gave the 49ers a 2-1 win. Freshman Kylee Hanson was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week. The Owls enter the weekend in sixth place in the Conference USA standings, a game behind ECU for fifth place.

UTEP (15-27, 7-8) swept Middle Tennessee last weekend and is tied with UTSA for 7th place in the conference standings. Friday will be Senior Night for four FAU players (Whitley Herb, Shelby Knox, Kathryn Spack and Jordan Stovall) who will be honored before the first game of the doubleheader.

Friday's doubleheader begins at 6 p.m., with the series finale Saturday at 1 p.m. and live stats and live video for all three games will be available at www.fausports.com. For tickets, call the FAU Ticket Office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
