BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will host the University of South Alabama this weekend.
The Owls (18-17, 3-3 Sun Belt) return home after taking two of three games from North Texas in Denton last weekend. FAU will now play six straight home games, starting with three games against the Jaguars. South Alabama (14-13, 2-2 Sun Belt) are led by infielders Christin Crocker and Brittany Fowler, who are leading the team in batting average, hitting .351 and .341 respectively. Senior pitcher Beth Pilgrim was named Sun Belt Co-Pitcher of the Week. The Jaguars lost two of their three games to Middle Tennessee State over the weekend, before defeating Southeastern Louisiana 11-1 in five innings on Tuesday night.
Saturday's doubleheader begins at 6 p.m. with a single game on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. Live stats of all three games will be available at fausports.com.
