BOCA RATON, FL - Senior Taylor Fawbush was named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Fawbush went 5-0 in the circle this week, pitching three innings in the team's 13-2 five-inning win over Middle Tennessee on Tuesday. She returned the following day to pitch five innings in relief to pick up the win and clinch the series sweep of the Blue Raiders.

On Friday, the senior returned to the circle and pitched her second career no-hitter in an 8-0 win over Bethune-Cookman. She ended the week on Sunday by pitching a complete game in the Owls' 2-1 nine inning win over Dartmouth and in the following game, came on to pitch three more innings in relief to notch her fifth win of the week in a 5-3 triumph over Elon.

For the week, Fawbush pitched 26 innings, allowed only one earned run and had a 0.27 ERA. She played a big role in guiding the Owls to a perfect 9-0 week, including six wins at the Parents' Weekend Tournament.

Fawbush is the first Owl to win SBC Pitcher of the Week since Rose Gressley on April 25, 2011. The Owls will resume Sun Belt play on Tuesday when they host North Texas at 6 p.m. Live stats will be available at www.fausports.com.
