TROY, AL -- Florida Atlantic University's quest for a seventh consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament championship got off to a fast start on Thursday. Amanda Morin threw a one-hitter and Jenn Piazza blasted a three-run homer to lead the Lady Owls past Jacksonville State University, 8-0, in opening round action from Troy, AL. The win improves FAU to 38-25 on the year.
