Final Stats

BOCA RATON, FL - Senior Taylor Fawbush contributed both offensively and defensively, going 2-for-2 at the plate and picking up the win as starting pitcher in the Florida Atlantic softball team's 6-0 win over Florida A&M on Sunday.

The Owls (12-15)scored all of their runs in the first inning. Stephanie Call put the Owls on the board with a two-run single that scored Christina Martinez and Carnesha Thompson. Laura Mann followed with an RBI double to left to drive in Call and put FAU ahead 3-0.

After a Rattler (5-20) error and a fielder's choice, Lauren Tremblay scored on a Fawbush double. A FAMU fielding error accounted for the final two runs. In the circle, Fawbush threw five innings, gave up four hits and only allowed one runner to reach third base. Samantha Messer threw two shutout innings in relief.
