BOCA RATON, FL - Senior Stephanie Call went 2-for-3 at the plate and threw a complete game three-hitter in the Florida Atlantic softball team's 6-0 win over Eastern Michigan on Friday. The game was the Owls' (6-10) second game of the day at the FAU Classic.

Carnesha Thompson put FAU on the board in the bottom of the third inning on an infield single that scored Christina Martinez and put the Owls ahead 1-0. Call came up with the bases loaded in the fourth inning and smacked a triple that cleared the bases and put the Owls ahead 4-0. She later scored on another Thompson single. Jordan Stovall's RBI single drove in Alexa Ballard later in the inning for the game's final run.

In the circle, Call threw a complete game shutout to pick up her second win of the season. EMU's best chance to score came in the sixth inning, when they had runners on first and second with just one out. Call was able to strike out the next two batters to end the inning.

The Owls lost to Ball State 2-0 in their first game of the day. Ball State (7-4) loaded the bases in the third inning, but Taylor Fawbush was able to limit the Cardinals to just one run. The Cardinals added another run in the fourth on an RBI triple.
