BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team concluded the Strike Out Cancer Tournament with a 1-0 loss to Tulsa on Sunday. The Owls’ record now stands at 9-7.
Madisyn Palmer broke up a no-hitter for the Golden Hurricane by dropping a single into left field in the bottom of the fourth. Palmer was the only runner of the game for the Owls. Tulsa scored the game’s only run in the top of the fifth when Jesse Smith reached on an infield single, advanced to second on an FAU error and came around to score on RBI single by Julia Hollingsworth.

The Owls travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the LSU Tiger Invitational. FAU begins action in the tournament at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 2 against Illinois State.
