BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's softball team dropped a doubleheader to Mississippi State 2-1 and 7-0, Thursday night.
The Owls belted the first hit, a lead-off single in the bottom of the first, and out hit the Bulldogs 3-2 in the game, but it was a second inning two-out walk followed by a homerun that proved to be the game's decider.

Kylee Hanson took the seven inning two hit loss for FAU to move to 0-2 on the young season. Mississippi State's Allison Own picked up the win.
