The Florida Atlantic University Owls softball team couldn’t keep up with Ohio State University’s premiere pitcher and fell to the Buckeyes 10-1, Saturday night,, FAU moved to 3-2 on the season, all played in the First Pitch Classic.

The First Pitch Classic features Boston University, Bethune-Cookman, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, and Ohio State.

  • Alex Acevedo went 1-for-2 with a single, earning her first collegiate hit
  • Alex Miller reached base twice
  • Mia Olson picked up a loss, leveling her record to 1-1
Key Plays
Acevedo had a pitch hit single for the Owls in the fifth inning to breakup the no-no. She then scored on a Buckeye fielding error. Palmer and Olsen both earn singles in the sixth and seventh, respectively, but the Owls couldn’t build on the momentum.
