Junior (2001): Played in 30 games and started six...scored eight runs...had two hits in 19 at bats...drew three walks and had three sacrifice hits....went 1-for-4 against Maryland with a run scored...had 14 putouts and 16 assists.
Sophomore (2000): Played in 57 and started 34...batted .169 with four RBIs...went 11-for-65 from the plate with two doubles and four walks...scored nine runs...spent the bulk of her time defensively at second base...went 1-for-2 with two RBIs February 12 in 3-2 win against Florida State.
Freshman (1999): Played in 25 games and started three...batted .286 with a double and nine runs scored...played second base or was used as a pinch runner...went 2-for-2 against Mercer with a double and the team's only run.
High School: Attended Bloomingdale Senior High School...coach was Mike Clamon....earned first-team all-conference honors three times... named all-region...first-team all-state selection...academic letter winner...graduated with honors...received Jack Thompson Award...two-sport athlete (softball and volleyball).
Personal: Majoring in both English and Education...daughter of Greg and Vickie Melton...born June 3, 1980 in Brainard, MN...wants to be a high school English teacher.
