BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team returns home to host the University of Miami on Sunday, September 8. The Owls (0-3-1) are slated to kick off against the Hurricanes at 1 p.m. at the FAU Soccer Stadium. Miami (4-0) topped Cleveland State 6-1 on Friday while the Owls had the night off.
FAU is coming off of a scoreless draw against Davidson on last Sunday at the Embassy Suites Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. The Owls posted six shots in the overtime periods against the Wildcats while holding Davidson to only one shot in the extra minutes of play. Senior goalkeeper Courtney Zwetsch made saves in the 89th and 107th minutes to secure the tie.
The Owls are 0-2 at home on the year with losses to Albany and Arizona. Following Sunday's match, FAU will be on the road for three straight contests against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Columbia and Southern California. The next home match is scheduled for Sunday, September 22 against Memphis.
