BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team travels to Fort Myers, Fla. for its first road matches of the season in the Embassy Suites Classic, hosted by FGCU. The Owls (0-2) are slated to face Mississippi State University on Friday, Aug. 30 and Davidson on Sunday, Sept. 1 each for the first time in program history.

Friday's contest against Mississippi State (1-1) is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff at the FGCU Soccer Complex. The Bulldogs split their opening weekend, falling to South Alabama 3-2 before topping Arkansas State 4-0. Davidson enters the weekend winless, with a 2-0 loss to East Carolina and a tie with Coastal Carolina.

The Owls are led in shots by sophomore Claire Emslie with five. Two FAU players, Yazmin Ongtengco and Courtney Zwetsch, have played all 180 minutes over the first two matches. FAU returns home on Sunday, Sept. 8 to host in-state rival Miami at Noon.
