Boca Raton, FL - The University of North Texas used two first-half goals to earn a 2-0 victory over the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon at the FAU Soccer Stadium in Boca Raton. North Texas' Michelle Young gave the visitors a 1-0 advantage on her 12th goal of the season. She received a pass from Ellen Scarfone and drilled a shot to the upper left corner of the new in the 16th minute of the match.
Scarfone would later tally a goal of her own, the fifth of the season, in the 26th minute to give North Texas a 2-0 advantage. She attempted a corner kick and a stiff wind helped guide the ball to the back post past the FAU goalkeeper.
