10/23/2011 Women's Soccer Sends Senior Class Out with 2-1 Home Victory over ULMProgram honors seniors Meghan Brown and Gabriela DeVries prior to the match Transfer from Florida State who will solidify the midfield as a starter or key reserve...enrolled at FAU last winter and participated in team's spring workouts.
Previous School: Appeared in seven matches and earned two starts for the Seminoles, who advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA College Cup...scored one goal (against Mercer) and had three shots in her freshman season in 2010...one of her starts came against Wake Forest in the ACC Tournament...she had two shots in the match.
Club/Prep: Played with the Florida Nike Rush for two seasons.
High School: Named all-metro first-team honors during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons at Apopka High School for Head Coach Doug Matthews...earned Apopka Chief Female Athlete of the Year honor as a senior...named Class 6A all-state and Region 10 Player of the Year during senior season...honor roll student.
Personal: Born on March 1, 1992...daughter of Dana and Lisa Rice...exercise science major...hobbies include running, wakeboarding, fishing, hiking and cooking. |
