BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team heads into weekend play at the Florida Gulf Coast University Fall Invitational with high hopes, after an impressive second-place finish at last week's Colonial Women's Intercollegiate Tournament.

Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn earned individual runner-up honors after a tournament-best opening round 69 (-3) and a final score of 146 (+2) for the event, held in Williamsburg, VA on September 17 and 18. The junior from Thailand finished just one stroke behind the tournament champion, and looks to build on her early success this weekend.

Senior June Bolme completed play in a four-way tie for fourth place, turning in a two-round score of 150 (+6). Jennifer Norton is coming off of a dominant Par 3 performance, leading all golfers with a 2.75 average at last week's event. Karine Bolme and Kimberly D'Andrea also finished in the top half of the field, each tied for 31st.

Play begins Saturday at Miromar Lakes Golf Club in Estero, FL near the FGCU campus, with action concluding Sunday.
