MIAMI, FL - Florida Atlantic University won its first tournament of the season with a 14-stroke victory over host Florida International at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Miami. FAU's Natalia Navarro and Jessica Polus placed first and second, respectively. As a team, FAU shot 941 for the three-round competition that was held at the International Links of Miami.
Navarro took top honors with a 222, edging her teammate, Polus, by eight strokes for medalist honors. Other finishers for the Lady Owls included Jaclyn Lucas, who finished tied for ninth with a 245. Heidi von Korff fired a 250 while Jessica Carafiello had a 251.
The tournament was FAU's last of the fall season. The Lady Owls finished among the top-five in three out of their four fall competitions with two top-two finishes.
