LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL - The FAU women's golfers wrapped up play at the 35th Annual FIU Bradley Invitational, with four of their five golfers shooting their best rounds.
Nicole Marino and Emily Peters tied for team low with 245, 56th overall. Marino and Marilyne Cadieux each shot 79s on Tuesday, the lowest round by any Owl over the three days. Cadieux finished two strokes behind the top pair (87-81-79--247).
Marino's round scores were 80-86-79. Peters shot 81-83-81.
The Owls finished 13th in the field, with a 987. FIU took home both the team and individual trophies, topping Cincinnati by 26 strokes (876-902). Meghan MacLaren, with a 1-over-par 217, won the tournament by two strokes over Daytona State College's So Young Hwang.
After two tournaments in an 8-day span, the women have 13 days until their next competition, the 2012 Hatters Classic. The two-day event starts November 5 at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla.
