Wiklund is 15th After First Two Rounds in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Anna Wiklund is in 15th place after two rounds of the Courtyard Classic, held at the Hidden Hills Country Club.

After an opening round 80, the senior shot a 1-over-par 73 in round two, and is 12 strokes behind the overall leader. That second round score tied her for the third lowest round of any golfer in that round of the tournament.

Sophomore Nicole Marino is second on the Owls, and tied for 40th overall, with an overall total of 163 (81-82).

The other three Owls are within two shots of each other. Madden Leen is tied for 53rd (82-88 - 170), Kayla DeSuza for 55th (88-83 - 171), and freshman Emily Peters shot a 172 (84-88) and is 57th thus far in her first collegiate tournament.

FAU is tied for eighth with South Dakota State, each with a team total of 653. Host Jacksonville has the team lead by one stroke over both Daytona State College and FGCU, and they also have the individual leader, Jessica Welch, with a 3-under-par 141.

The final round of the Courtyard Classic will take place on Tuesday.
