Newcomers Pace Women's Golf in Opening Tourney

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Newcomers made an instant impact on the Florida Atlantic University women’s golf team, leading the squad to a fourth-place finish at the Lady Falcon Invitational this weekend at LPGA International.

Amanda Leslie, a transfer from South Florida, paced FAU and finished 14th out of the 57 competitors with an 82-78, 160
• Fellow newcomer Katie Veale, a transfer from Daytona State, followed close behind with her 79-82, 161 to place 16th
Taylor Morgan, a transfer from Eastern Florida State, competed individually and placed 21st with a 79-84, 163
Tai Barber clocked in at 27th with an 80-87 167 while Jennifer Keim (84-84, 168) and Kadi Pallastrone (86-86, 172) finished 29th and 35th, respectively
• As a team, the Owls shot a 325-330 655 while Daytona State (606) and Florida Southern (607) paced the teams
