GULF SHORES, AL – Florida Atlantic University’s women’s golf team carded 319 in the second round of the Conference USA Women’s Golf Championship on Tuesday, April 22, falling to 13th-place after finishing 12th in the opening round. The Owls have collected a two-day team total of 635 strokes.
Christina Langer held onto her 36th-place tie from the opening round with 75 strokes in the second round. Langer’s two-day total is 9-over 153 going into Wednesday’s final round. Jacqueline Shelly carded 80 to fall from a 29th-place tie to a tie for 45th. Madden Leen has now collected 80 strokes in both rounds of play for 160 total and a tie for 53rd-place. Nicole Marino followed with 167 strokes for a 62nd-place tie with teammate Kayla DeSuza. Marino carded 84 in the second round while DeSuza carded 85 strokes.
Tulane held onto its lead by six strokes with four-under 572 on the par 72, 6,145-yard course. The Conference USA Women’s Golf Championship will conclude on Wednesday, April 23 with live stats available at golfstat.com.vailable at golfstat.com.
