Citrus Springs, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team ended competition at the El Diablo Intercollegiate Tuesday, finishing with a two-day team score of 959, good for a ninth-place finish among 17 teams. The Owls were able to put together a solid finish despite adverse weather conditions that interrupted play on Monday.
Freshman June Bolme proved to be a bright spot for FAU once again, as she finished tied for ninth and led the team with her 233 (73/82/78). That included a first-round 73 that set a career-best and put her in second-place. Senior Jessica Carafiello finished close behind with a 236 (81/77/78), while senior Paige Maltby saw her first action of the spring, shooting a 255.
Coastal Carolina won the tournament while host team Marshall placed second and Western Carolina finished third.
