Miami, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team ended competition at the Miccosukee Championship Tuesday, finishing with a two-day team score of 986, and a disappointing 17th out of 18 teams. The Owls dug themselves a hole shooting a 342 in the first round Monday, but managed a more respectable 325 in the final round Tuesday.
Freshman June Bolme proved to be a bright spot for FAU, as she placed 24th with a three-round total of 235. The 24th place finish was the third highest of her career and gave her three top-25 finishes in her first season of collegiate competition.
Georgia State finished first while host team Florida International placed third. Hannah Hoch of Colorado shot the lowest individual score (222).
