BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team will take to the road for its final contest of 2013 when the Owls face UNC-Wilmington on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. ET in Wilmington, N.C.

FAU (8-3) is coming off of a 2-1 performance at the World Vision Challenge in Lubbock, Texas. The Owls picked up wins over Abilene Christian and Jacksonville, but fell to host Texas Tech. FAU is the top team in the nation in turnover margin (+11.73) for the fifth consecutive week and ranks eighth in steals per game (12.5).

Three Owls average double-digit scoring, led by Chenise Miller's 13.2 points per game. Latavia Dempsey and Takia Brooks each average 11.5 points per contest.

UNCW (1-10) enters the matchup on an eight-game losing skid, dating back to Nov. 19. The Seahawks' lone victory came over Northern Kentucky 65-62 on Nov. 16 in Wilmington. UNCW is led by Kelva Atkins, who averages 17.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest.

The Owls return home to host Bethune Cookman on Jan. 2. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. in the Burrow.
